Man arrested for investigation into firing a gun while driving a tractor

A man was arrested for allegedly firing a gun while driving a tractor in Joshua Tree.

On Sunday (October 19) at 9:15 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man discharging a firearm while operating a tractor in the 7100 block of White Feather Road. Deputies arrived and contacted Brian Jernigan, 60, who they say was sitting on the tractor. Deputies detained Jernigan and recovered a firearm at the scene. 

Brian Jernigan was arrested for suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $80,000 bail.
