MAN ARRESTED AFTER THREATENING TO CHOP UP GIRLFRIEND

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, accused of threatening to kill his off-and-on girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman called to report that Johnny Mungarro, 24, had beat her up and was threatening her with an ax in the 3300 block of Warren Vista Avenue. The woman told deputies that he was swinging the ax up and down and saying that he was going to chop her up into pieces. Johnny Mungarro was arrested for making terrorist threats, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
