A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a pursuit through the Yucca Mesa neighborhood in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies attempted to stop a black Honda that was driving westbound on Patrick Avenue about 1 p.m. for having a cracked windshield. The vehicle with out-of-state plates failed to stop; deputies pursued it but lost sight of it. They later located the empty car near the intersection of Warren Vista and Junipero Road. Deputies tracked footprints from the vehicle a short distance and located Andy Carter. The report states that Carter admitted to driving the vehicle. Andy Carter was arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
