A Yucca Valley man, who is suspected of shoplifting at Walmart in August and then threatening an employee with a knife, was arrested Thursday. According to Sheriff’s reports, Donald Dora, 34, went to the Yucca Valley Walmart at about 5:20 p.m. on August 28. Store personnel reportedly observed Dora taking a belt into the restroom and leaving without holding the belt. Employees checked the restroom and the belt was not there. When loss prevention employees confronted Dora, he allegedly pulled out a knife, flicked it open, and brandished it in a threatening manner while swearing at them. The employees backed off, and Dora then left the store. The employees identified Dora to deputies, who arrested Dora at about 3:40 p.m. in the 6300 block of Hermosa Avenue in Yucca Valley. Donald Dora was arrested for investigation of armed robbery and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
