A Kentucky man was arrested at the Joshua Tree courthouse Thursday, after his estranged wife said he had threatened to kill her. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman called deputies about 8:30 a.m. Thursday to report that Nathan Melnikoff, 35, had left a voicemail on her phone Monday in which he said that if the divorce was finalized, “that when they went to court he would put a bullet in her head” and that “she would be lucky to be at the bottom of a mine shaft.” When Melnikoff showed up for court Thursday, he was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats. Nathan Melnikoff was booked into West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $300,000.
