A training exercise on board the Combat Center tomorrow will mean area residents will notice increased aircraft activity and noise. The training scenario is for a non-combatant evacuation operation, or NEO, a mission primarily conducted for emergency rescues and evacuations during disasters and other crises. The aircraft will conduct low-altitude flights as they land at the Combat Center’s parade deck and transport role-players to safe locations. Roads will be blocked to traffic around the Mainside are of the base between 2 and 10 p.m. tomorrow.
