The Sheriff’s Department is investigating 10 cases of vandalism of mailboxes in Joshua Tree. About 4:30 p.m., Friday, deputies received a report that a male was walking eastbound on Petunia Avenue and had been bashing in mailboxes with a baseball bat. Deputies noted vandalism in the 5900 block of Sunset Road, 5700 and 5800 blocks of Outpost Road, 5700 block of Sunny Hill Road, 61200 block of Vine Street, 61400 block of Vine Street, and 61600 block of Vine Street. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
