Residents at the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms and surrounding areas will hear a lot of noise and activity tomorrow, Friday, April 17, as Marines practice a non-combatant evacuation operation exercise. Marines will simulate the evacuation of civilians from a potentially hostile area. Helicopter and tilt-rotor flights will be conducted over the Combat Center, with multiple landings onto Lance Corporal Torrey L. Gray Field, the Del Valle track and field, and Camp Wilson between 4 and 10 p.m. Friday. The base has set up a website to report noise from the exercise:
