A major drill is planned for next week aboard the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base. Combat Center personnel will participate in an anti-terrorism and force protection exercise, Semper Durus, June 15 through 19. The Base’s Public Affairs office says intermittent traffic delays should be expected at the installation’s main gate on Adobe Road throughout the morning of Tuesday, June 16. They said Semper Durus is a regional exercise that trains personnel, adjacent and subordinate agencies, and the installation staff to be prepared for, react to, and remain vigilant in force protection measures.
