Your neighborhood mail carrier will be picking up non-perishable food donations left in or near your mailbox today (Saturday, May 14th). The National Association of Letter Carriers is working with the Way Station in Joshua tree to collect and distribute the food to those in need here in the Morongo Basin. The “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive is the countries’ largest one-day food collection event and has been running since 1983. Donations that don’t fit inside your mailbox can be bagged and left nearby for collection.
