In place of the usually scheduled MAC meeting, the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council, there will be a community meeting featuring a word from the US Census. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details…
The Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council will step aside this month and instead let the US Census take the floor. In place of the usual MAC meeting, representatives from the United States Census Bureau will provide crucial information regarding the 2020 Census. Since 1790, the Census has taken place every ten years and strives to count every person living in the United States. The collective data is later used to determine funding allotments, district borders and government representation.
The community meeting will be held on Monday, February 10, at 5:30 p.m., in the usual spot, the Joshua Tree Community Center at 6171 Sunburst Avenue.
