This year’s Relay For Life, an annual fund-raiser that benefits the American Cancer Society, is set for April 13 and 14 at the Yucca Valley High School. The Relay is an overnight team event, from 9 a.m. Saturday, April 13, to 9 a.m. Sunday, April 14, and is for all ages. Cancer survivors are invited to participate in special ceremonies during the event. At dusk on Friday, hundreds of candle-lit luminaria will illuminate the Relay track as a moment of silence is observed. You can remember or honor your loved ones with a contribution for a luminaria bag that you decorate and is then lit during the Luminaria Ceremony.
