A Lucerne Valley man was killed last night walking across State Route 247, Old Woman Springs Road. According to the County Coroner, at 6:43 p.m. Sunday, 69-year-old Lucerne resident Alfred Moreau was walking across Old Woman Springs Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Moreau was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries at 7:38 p.m. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. No further information was available.
