Low-income Seniors eligible for $50 of food from Joshua Tree Farmer’s Market

Low income seniors are eligible to receive a $50 check good for food from the Joshua Tree Farmers Market this Saturday morning (August 5).

As part of a program through the San Bernardino County Aging and Adult Services with funding from the California Department of Food and Agriculture, the checks will be distributed at the Farmers Market on Saturday.

To qualify, seniors in a single-person household must have a monthly income of less than $2,248, or a 2 person household income of less than $3041.

The checks can be used at an participating California Certified Farmers Markets in San Bernardino County, which includes Joshua Tree’s Farmers Market.

The checks can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey.
