Composer Lou Harrison’s “Life, Legacy and Desert Dream” will be brought to life by Eva Soltes at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 10 on the Zoom platform. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us more about the program…

The late Lou Harrison’s world will be colorfully illuminated through a free hour of video excerpts from Eva Soltes’ documentary film about the composer.  Annotated by her thirty-year friendship with him and woven into 14 years of programming at Harrison House, Harrison’s Joshua Tree straw bale retreat. Soltes continues the composer’s legacy of music, arts, and ecology in this free lecture. A link to this Zoom presentation is available below.
