LOS ANGELES MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY HARASSING JOB SITE WORKERS

A Los Angeles man was arrested last Friday (April 8), accused of possessing a baton. According to Sherriff’s logs, deputies responded to the 6900 block of Sierra Avenue in Joshua Tree shortly before 8 a.m. after receiving a call regarding a trespassing male who was allegedly harassing workers on a job site. As deputies arrived on the scene, the man identified as Ronald Moody, 31, reportedly was being uncooperative and claimed he did not talk to law enforcement. Sheriff’s logs indicate that Moody consented to a search of his vehicle, during which, deputies located a Billy club. Moody claimed that the object was just a stick and kept for sentimental value and the deputy reported that based on their experience, the object was in fact, a Billy club. Ronald Moody was subsequently arrested for investigation of possessing a baton and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
