LOCAL TRIBES TO OPEN CALIFORNIA INDIAN NATIONS COLLEGE SATURDAY

The Twentynine Palms Band of Mission Indians will hold a grand opening ceremony for the new California Indian Nations College on Saturday, November 10. The grand opening ceremony will feature Native American arts and crafts, artists, vendors, as well as the Apache Crown Dancers from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, who will perform the sacred crown dances. The event is set for 4 to 7 p.m. at the University of California-Riverside, Palm Desert campus, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive in Palm Desert.
