Theatre 29 volunteers are having fun with high quality community theater. ROP Broadcast student David Knutson talked with Theatre 29 volunteer Curtis Mohn about his experiences…
The community theater, Theatre 29, puts on many productions with local actors. I talked to Curtis Mohn, an active member of Theatre 29, what it’s like for him. Curtis started at Theatre 29 around spring time of 2013 starring the production “Gypsy.” His favorite play that he’s acted in was “The Perils of Goldilocks,” featured last summer because he got the lead role as Papa Bear and was nominated for two awards by the Desert Theater League. Mohn says he would love to take this experience and possibly turn it into a profession, stating that he at least wants to minor in theater arts. He loves the closeness of the actors and crew of Theatre 29, saying it’s a fun, friendly, family environment. He has been a part of five shows so far and more to come.
