You won’t get paid. What you will get is a chance to help forecasters issue weather warnings by providing real-time reports when conditions get bad. You can learn how do it at a training session set for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, in the Cholla Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center, 57090 Twentynine Palms Highway.
For more information, check out the weather service’s regional website at www.weather.gov/lasvegas or call its Las Vegas office at 702-263-9744.
