The Yucca Valley Girls Varsity Tennis Team lost to Desert Mirage 7-11.
In Singles: Carleigh Fraser 6-3, 6-3, Ariella Guthrie 7-6 (7-5).
In doubles: Madison Dillion and Zyn Ferrer continued their winning ways 6-2, 6-4 and 6-0. Cholle Philippe and Andrea Avila won their first match of the season 6-1.
Varsity coach Cindy Miller says that The team is improving after each match but The girls are just coming up a little short on the points.
The Varsity Tennis team will be starting the second round of the season and hope to win some of these close matches. Up next will be Cathedral City on Monday at home.
In Football – the Twentynine Palms Wildcats host the Rajahs tonight at Twentynine Palms High School – and Yucca Valley travels to Coachella Valley to take on the Mighty Arabs.
Both games start at 7:00pm.
