Sue Meador, a 26-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died November 28 in La Jolla. She was 85 years old. Sue Meador is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geselle and Dwayne McKnight, her son, Bill Meador, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Sue Meador received her master’s degree in education from Stanford University prior to moving to Twentynine Palms, where she taught at Twentynine Palms Junior High School and at Monument High School. Sue Meador then became director of curriculum for the Morongo Unified School District. After her retirement in 1994, she was elected to the MUSD board of education for one four-year term. She moved to La Jolla in 1999. A memorial mass will be said at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Twentynine Palms at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 14.
