LOCAL POULTRY OWNERS MEET TONIGHT

High Desert Homegrown Poultry Association meets at 6 p.m. this Wednesday, July 22 at Yucca Mesa Community Center at 3133 Balsa Avenue, 10 minutes north of Yucca Valley off of Aberdeen Avenue. Association founder Charla Shamhart is bringing live baby chicks for show and tell. She will also bring fresh barley grass and will give a demonstration in how to grow both sprouts and forage grass for animals including chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, and cats. Beginning poultry lovers as well as experienced poultry growers are welcome.
