Tonight, popular local singer-guitarist Dana Larson is launching her Kickstarter project, part 2, for her debut album of original music. A few years ago, with the help of Kickstarter and supporters who pledged, Larson succeeded in getting the funds she needed to completely record her dream album and it’s now complete. Larson praised Gar Robertson, of Red Barn Recorders, saying, “Gar did an amazing job adding instrumentation to what always had been a solo project. I could only imagine how my album would sound, but Gar took my imagining and made it a reality.” Larson said there are wonderful performances by a dozen or so excellent musicians, all beautiful orchestrated on the CD and said she is very excited to be so close to sharing it. She said the project only needs a few more backers so the CD can be mixed, mastered, and manufactured. Then they will be in the mail to everyone who helped, along with lots of other cool stuff.
