The U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Initiative is soliciting public input on a competition where local teams bring solar programs and projects to their communities. The goal is to expand solar opportunities to new consumers, including low- and moderate-income customers, and nonprofits. Teams will be eligible for cash prizes and assistance from the Department of Energy and other resources. The SunShot competition is still in the planning stages.
