Art Munoz, a 35 year resident of the Morongo Basin, passed away surrounded by family on May 2. Art Munoz was a retired senior manager with Clearman‘s North Woods Inn Corporation where he worked for 37 years. Munoz owned and operated the local Sears store from 2008 to 2011 along with his son Darin Sanden.
Art Munoz served on the Morongo Basin Unity Home board and along with his wife Donna supported many local service organizations. Art Munoz is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Munoz; five children: Art Munoz Jr., Anthony Munoz, Jacquie Fox, Darin Sanden, and Darcy Elless; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 1 o’clock Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel on Joshua Lane, Yucca Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Morongo Basin Ambulance , a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization; they have been very kind to Art.
