More than 20 students from the Morongo Unified School District’s Health Occupations Students of America program recently attended the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Sacramento. Reporter Andrew Dieleman recaps the student’s activities and achievements…

MUSD students collaborated with healthcare professionals and competed in different medical event categories throughout the weekend at this year’s HOSA State Leadership Conference. All six MUSD teams made it to the second round in CPR/first aid and to the second round for sports medicine. Three of the MUSD teams will even attend the International Leadership Conference in June. The teams are: Jordyn Koger and Kendall Cox in second place, Tommie Jones and Makayla Geeson in third place, Mei Chua and Sierra Moran in fifth place. And in sports medicine: Browdie Williams in fourth place.
