Southern California Firefighters are celebrating their 25th anniversary of the Spark of Love Toy Drive. The campaign collects new, unwrapped toys to help our local children in need. Here’s Tanisha Cureton with the details…
During the last 25 years, the Spark of Love Toy Drive, sponsored by county firefighters, has collected more than 10 million toys to distribute to needy children at Christmas Collection boxes for new, unwrapped toys at all Morongo Basin fire stations, as well as at the Z107.7 studio in Joshua Tree. A toy drive will also be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 10 and 17 at Walmart in Yucca Valley. All the toys will be donated to Mara’s Christmas Wish and distributed to children at the Yucca Valley Community Center on Christmas Day.
