The County Fire Department and the Department of Emergency Services will hold an informational meeting for residents who are interested in joining the Morongo Basin’s Community Emergency Response Team. Participants will learn about hazards they may face in a disaster, and will be trained in lifesaving skills so that they are better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. The informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, November 17, at the Twentynine Palms Fire Station, 6560 Adobe Road, Twentynine Palms. For more information, call 760-228-6380.
