In what the Registrar of Voters calls “Final Unofficial Results” in local contests, Jeff Drozd and Robert Lombardo are the winners for the Yucca Valley Town Council, Drozd with 31.55 percent and Lombardo with 28.78 percent. In Twentynine Palms, Steve Bilderain and Joel Klink are the winners with 31.07 percent and 27.70 percent respectively. For the Morongo Unified School District, early winners are Denise Cohen (27.43 percent), Karalee Hargrove (25.31percent), and Ronald Palmer (23.71 percent), The winners of the Joshua Basin Water District board of directors are Geary Hund (29.69 percent), Mickey Luckman (20.66 percent), and Robert “Bob” Johnson (18.76 percent). For the Hi-Desert Medical Center Healthcare District, Joseph Sullivan (27.67 percent), Bob Armstrong (22.87 percent), and Dianne Markle-Greenhouse (20.23 percent) are the winners.
Measures Y and Z in Yucca Valley passed overwhelmingly, with 73.04 and 81.65 percent of the vote.
The votes will not be declared official until remaining absentee and provisional votes are counted.
