They say everyone is good at something and for local eighth grader, Richard Boswell, it’s his skill at tying up goats that will send him to the world’s largest junior high rodeo competition. Boswell, a student at Joshua Springs Christian School, will travel with the California Team to Gallup, New Mexico to compete in the National Junior High Finals Rodeo the last week of June. The team will join more than 1,000 other contestants vying for nearly $200,000 in prizes, college scholarships, and the chance to be to be named a national champion. Fans here at home can follow Richard’s competition times and scores at NJHSRA.org.
