Drs. Stephen Bush and Jeffrey Klempen were recognized as Doctor of the Year by the staff at Hi-Desert Medical Center Friday. The recognition program has become a tradition since National Doctor Day was instituted in 2015. Bush graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine in 1975 and specializes in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology. Klempen specializes in emergency medicine and has more than 15 years of experience in medicine. Both physicians were also honored in 2017.
Dr. Eldene Smith was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement award for 36 years of service to the community. Smith graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1961 and has been in practice for 57 years. He plans to retire soon.
