The Morongo Basin Democratic Club’s May membership meeting moves to Saturday morning with a “Power Breakfast” at Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree. Networking, fellowship and an $8 breakfast buffet begins at 9 a.m.; the regular meeting begins at 10. Among items on Saturday’s agenda are the election of new officers and guest speaker Dean Moore, President of the Hi-Desert Health Care District Foundation. Follow the Club signs from the traffic light at Rotary Way and Highway 62 at the entrance to the college. Parking is free and plentiful.
