The Morongo Basin Democratic Club will be discussing bottled water at its regular monthly meeting Saturday, November 11. Nestle pays the U.S. Forest Service just a few hundred dollars per year for the right to bottle and sell 30 million gallons of water from a creek in the San Bernardino National Forest. Club members will be asked to support a resolution supporting an environmental impact report to halt the water bottling. The 10 a.m. meeting is preceded by an optional $10 breakfast buffet at 9 a.m. at Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen on the campus of Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree.
