The Morongo Basin Democratic Club will meet two Democratic candidates for the Congressional District 8 seat at its meeting Saturday. Rita Ramirez and Marge Doyle are running in the June primary against incumbent Republican Paul Cook. The 10 a.m. meeting is preceded by an optional $10 buffet breakfast at 9 a.m. at Bruce’s Café on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree.
