Two dozen people were arrested during a crime sweep throughout the Morongo Basin Thursday and Friday. According to a press release, the Sheriff’s department, district attorney’s office, probation and parole departments, and Naval Criminal Investigative Services participated in the sweep. During the sweep, 24 arrests were made for violations including outstanding warrants, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics for sale, cultivation of marijuana, and violations of parole and probation. In addition, officers made probation and parole compliance checks at the homes of subjects on supervised release.
