Matt Steele’s movie “Divos!” has a cast of familiar and new faces. Some, like Nicole Sullivan and Jayson Bernard, you may have seen in other TV shows and movies but the face that stands out is Julia Boyd. Boyd, who was raised here in the Morongo Basin, plays Heather, best friend to the main character, Ricky. In the movie, her character has a breakdown after being cast as the “frumpy old lady” in the high school musical. Boyd has the most screen time of any female character and has also appeared on the TV shows “Baskets” and “Scream Queens.”
As for “Divos!” the feature-length film portrays all sorts of teenage egos colliding during the production of the high school musical where “the boys bring the drama.” The comedy is available on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube Movies, and more.
