A popular spoken word fundraiser, “Live from Joshua Tree: An Evening of Desert Stories and Songs” will feature stories, poetry, and songs by unique members of our communities. The event will benefit Mil-Tree, a non-profit organization that works to bring military and civilians together through the arts. The Desert Stories feature Turiya Autry, Erika Castellanos, Caryn Davidson, Keegan Jennings Goodman, Ruben Martinez, Cowboy Pete Mcleod, Jonathan Maule, Melissa Spurr, Jesika Von Rabbit, and Eric Wilson. The event is set for Saturday, January 18 at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center sanctuary. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7. Tickets, which are sure to sell out quickly, are $20 to $40 and can be purchased at mil-tree.org.
