Disguised as moving rocks, the Mojave Desert Tortoise can effectively hide in plain sight. But that won’t be the case this Saturday and every Saturday in May at the Joshua Tree Farmers’ Market. That’s because the Joshua Basin Water District will be host to some of these fascinating creatures at their booth. Dubbed ambassadors of water conservation, people can learn a lot from the Mojave Desert Tortoise by visiting the booth.
