“LIGHT,” A STAGED READING WITH MUSIC, IN PIONEERTOWN THIS WEEKEND

“Light” is a ritual theater piece which incorporates the work of several writers and live music. Thought Theatre has performances planned in Pioneertown this weekend. Here’s Rebecca Havely with the details…

This time of year we celebrate the season of light by reflecting on the dark in our world, how humanity learns about, appreciates, and grows in “Light.” Project Sheba, presents a Thought Theatre production entitled “Light.” The staged reading includes original writings of several artists as well as live music. It features actors Ann Van Haney, Adia Joelle, Derrik Lewis, Levi Linn, and AG Vasquez plus live music by the artistic director of the piece, Miri Hunter and her band Hunter and the Wick’d. Performances are Friday and Saturday December 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday December 17, at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission and $15 for reserved seating. Performances are at Studio B, located at 53722 Pioneertown Road; a right turn just before Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown. For tickets and information, go to projectsheba.com/thoughttheatre.
