Bring a brown bag lunch and a friend to this month’s lecture, “Botanincal Discovery and Inventory in Joshua Tree National Park.” The California desert plants remain the least documented in the state. Recent efforts have added over 100 species to the catalogue of plants within Joshua Tree National Park. Currently, there are about 725 plant species documented within its boundaries. The lecture will take place January 19 at 12 noon at The Hi-Desert Nature Museum, located at 57116 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. Admission is $5 or free for museum members. Complimentary beverages will be served. For more information call 760-369-7212 or visit hidesertnaturemuseum.org.
