The Morongo Basin Historical Society will host Jill Giegerich at its next second Wednesday lecture on April 10. Giegerich will discuss permaculture, a land-use design science that works with the patterns of nature to create sustainable human habitation. She will also cover a brief history of land use in the Morongo Basin and an overview of local projects underway. The lecture is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley. Admission is $5.
