LECTURE ON GOLD PROSPECTING WEDNESDAY IN YUCCA VALLEY

The Morongo Basin Historical Society continues its Second Wednesday Lecture Series with “Gold: Prospecting in Southern California.” A brief history of prospecting around our local deserts will be presented by Charles Sherry, prospector and member of First Class Miners Group. This hands-on lecture will also cover prospecting equipment, such as dry washers and metal detectors. For a donation of $5, the lecture is perfect for beginners and experts. Join the Morongo Basin Historical Society on February 11 at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum; the lecture begins at 5:30 p.m. and will run approximately one hour.
