The schedule for the second Friday lecture series at the Twentynine Palms Historical Society has been changed due to a change in the speakers’
availability. Managing editor Tami Roleff says this Friday’s lecture is now about exploring Anza-Borrego State Park…
For those who want to explore Anza-Borrego State Park in San Diego County, there’s only been one widely accepted guidebook, “The Anza-Borrego Desert Region,” and the author, Diana Lindsay, is the guest speaker at the Second Friday Lecture series sponsored by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. The Anza-Borrego Desert Region guidebook, first published in 1978, had its sixth edition released in December. Lindsay will discuss some of the hikes and routes through the 650,000 acres of the state park and adjacent areas. Doors open at 6:15 and the lecture starts at 7 p.m. in the Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms. Admission is $5 at the door.
