The Hi-Desert Nature Museum continues their popular education program, Science Saturdays, with exciting topics to start off the new year. On Saturday, January 25, the topic will be the human brain. With technology continually on the rise, computers have become especially popular in our world. Interestingly, the most powerful “computer” in the world lies right inside our bodies! The human brain is like an extremely powerful supercomputer that stores information and controls how we act. During this Science Saturday, Museum Educator Crystal Mason will teach children about the structure of the brain, its storage capacity that we like to call the memory, and a few fun brainy facts. It is recommended that children be school age for this program. Science Saturdays are held from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum.
