The Twentynine Palms Historical Society will offer a hands-on workshop Saturday, October 15, for adults and children who want to learn how to create eye-catching compositions using desert plants and found objects for the upcoming Weed Show. Anyone who wants to gain a competitive edge is invited to attend this free workshop. Award-winning Weed Show veterans will present ideas, thoughts and finished presentations, and answer questions during the workshop, which will run from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, at the Twentynine Palms Old Schoolhouse museum. Children and adult sessions will be held in separate areas of the building. The Twentynine Palms weed show will be held November 5 and 6 at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, on National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms.
