Learn about desert palm oases at the Old Schoolhouse lecture, sponsored by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. Jim Cornett, who has studied desert palms for 25 years and was the curator and director of natural sciences at the Palm Springs Desert Museum, will be discussing palm oasis ecology Friday, November 10, at the Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms.
