LEAP YEARBOOK AND ART SALE AT OLD SCHOOLHOUSE MUSEUM

Once every four years, we are gifted with an extra day, February 29. But how to spend it? You might consider a day of treasure hunting that will also benefit two local entities. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details…

Book lovers and art lovers take note. The Twentynine Palms Historical Society and Friends of the Twentynine Palms Library are hosting a Giant Leap Year Book & Cabin Art Sale on the rarest of dates—February 29—from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a collection of books, some rare, related to local history, geology and desert environment. The sale will also offer various framed art and all proceeds will benefit the hosts.

The sale will be held at Founders Hall next to the Old Schoolhouse Museum at 6760 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms.
