Two community clean-up days have been scheduled for Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree. Sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and other churches, various civic groups, and service organizations, residents will be dispersed to several locations to improve the communities. On Saturday, April 9, volunteers will meet at the LDS church at 73002 El Paseo Drive in Twentynine Palms and clean up trash from 8 a.m. until noon. In Joshua Tree, volunteers will meet at the Community Center, on Sunburst Avenue. They will weed, pick up trash and leaves, do touch-up painting, and digging tree wells. A light breakfast and water will be provided for volunteers at both locations.
