A law-enforcement-involved shooting that left traffic snarled at the interchange of Highway 62 and the 10 freeway yesterday (February 5) began as a hi-desert pursuit.

KESQ reports that the shooting, which occurred shortly after noon, left one suspect dead. The investigation of the incident saw the California Highway Patrol close two westbound lanes on I-10, just west of the Highway 62 interchange. Traffic heading away from the desert and toward Los Angeles was severely slowed for several hours.
