San Bernardino County coronavirus cases rose by 62 on Sunday, May 10, to 2,964, up 2.1 percent from the day before. The amount of testing rose by the same percentage, according to county data, to 30,632 patients tested for a 9.7 percent positive rate. The doubling time stayed at 12.1 days. In the Morongo Basin, there are 41 confirmed cases and 3 deaths. Yucca Valley with 15 cases and one death; Joshua Tree with 15 cases and two deaths; Morongo Valley with six cases; and Twentynine Palms with five. The number of residents who died due to the disease stayed at 114 putting the fatality rate at 3.8 percent. The majority of those who have died, 66, are ages 70 and older.
